1. Getting Started
- You don’t need 10K followers to land UGC deals — brands care about content quality, not your audience size.
- Start by creating spec ads (fake ads with products you already own) to build your portfolio.
- Pick a niche (skincare, fitness, food, tech, etc.) so brands know where you fit.
2. Portfolio Basics
- Keep it simple: 4–6 high-quality videos + 2–3 photos.
- Use Canva, Notion, or a single Google Drive folder for your portfolio.
- Show variety: unboxing, testimonials, lifestyle shots, TikTok-style ads.
3. Outreach & Pitching
- Always personalize your pitch: use the brand name, mention a product or recent campaign.
- Start with a short intro + value offer (e.g., “I help skincare brands create authentic TikTok-style content that drives conversions”).
- Don’t dump rates upfront — get them interested first.
- Follow up in 3–5 days if they don’t reply.
4. Rates & Negotiation
- Know your worth: even if new, don’t accept “free product only” unless it’s a portfolio-building choice.
- Calculate rates: Base rate + Usage rights + Exclusivity.
- Offer bundles: 1 video + 3 photos, instead of just one piece.
5. Content Creation
- Keep it authentic — brands want real, not over-polished.
- Focus on hooks in the first 3 seconds (questions, reactions, problems).
